Welcome to Himalayan Shine. By visiting our website, requesting quotations, or confirming a travel booking with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please review them carefully before making any advance payments or concluding your reservation.

1. Booking Confirmation & Payment Policy

• Advance Deposit: A minimum advance deposit (typically 30% to 50% of the total tour cost) is required to block hotel rooms, book Volvo tickets, and reserve private vehicles.
• Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled either prior to arrival or upon check-in at the destination hotel as communicated in your booking voucher.
• Modes of Payment: Payments may be made via Bank NEFT/RTGS/IMPS, UPI, Debit/Credit cards, or verified payment links provided by our authorized representatives.

2. Package Inclusions & Exclusions

• Inclusions: Package pricing covers accommodation as specified, meal plans (as mentioned e.g., breakfast and dinner), designated Volvo tickets, sightseeing transfers by private cab, driver allowances, toll taxes, and parking fees.
• Exclusions: Personal expenses (laundry, room heater charges, alcoholic drinks, laundry, telephone charges), adventure activity fees (paragliding, river rafting, skiing, snow dress rentals), Rohtang Pass NGT permits, monument entrance tickets, and emergency evacuation costs are not included.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

In the event that you must cancel your tour booking, please notify us in writing via email or WhatsApp. Cancellation charges will be calculated as follows:

Time of Cancellation Prior to Travel Date	Cancellation Fee / Retention
30 days or more before scheduled departure	15% of the total tour package cost
15 to 29 days before scheduled departure	30% of the total tour package cost
07 to 14 days before scheduled departure	50% of the total tour package cost
Less than 07 days or No-Show	100% of package cost (No Refund)

*Note: Non-refundable components such as confirmed Volvo tickets or peak-season holiday hotel bookings (Christmas, New Year, May–June peak) cannot be refunded once ticketed or locked.

4. Travel Documents & Hotel Check-in

• All adult travelers must carry a valid original Government Photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, or Voter ID; PAN Card is not accepted as address proof).
• Standard hotel check-in time is generally 12:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to room availability and may attract additional hotel charges.
• Children below 5 years are complimentary sharing parent bed without extra bed/meal.

5. Vehicle & Sightseeing Guidelines

• Private cabs (Sedan / SUV / Tempo Traveller) provided for sightseeing operate strictly as per the agreed itinerary and are not on disposal for personal errands.
• Sightseeing points may be rescheduled or substituted based on weather conditions, road blocks, or local administration traffic regulations.
• AC will be switched off in hill stations and uphill driving for vehicle performance and safety.

6. Force Majeure & Natural Calamities

Himalayan Shine will not be held liable for any loss, damage, delay, or cancellation caused by acts of God, extreme snowfall, landslides, cloudbursts, road closures, political unrest, strikes, flight cancellations, or national emergencies. In such scenarios, our team will make all reasonable efforts to arrange alternative accommodation or routes at prevailing costs.

7. Passenger Safety & Health Considerations

Travelers visiting high-altitude regions (such as Rohtang Pass, Atal Tunnel, Solang Valley, Spiti) should ensure they are medically fit. We strongly recommend packing appropriate warm clothing, thermal wear, and personal medication. Himalayan Shine will not be responsible for personal injury, illness, or loss of personal luggage.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and any disputes arising out of bookings or services provided by Himalayan Shine shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
